The European online travel & lifestyle magazine American Express Essentials has included the Zadar Outdoor festival among the best open air festivals worth visiting in the world this year.
A festival that will be held for the first time this April, the Zadar Outdoor Festival has been named not only as one of the must-visit open air festivals around the globe but as one of the three based in Europe you wouldn’t want to miss. The Zadar Outdoor Festival was named in American Express Essentials’ most recent issue for this March under “The 15 Best Open-Air Festivals Around the World.”
The Zadar Outdoor Festival will be held in Zadar County from April 27 – 30, 2017 under the slogan “Your Adventure Playground”. The festival itself will offer competitions in seven disciplines including a Sailing Regatta, Tree Rivers Trail, Sea Organ Swim, MTB Cross Country Race, Kayak City Race, Zadar Sunset Run and Rafting Regatta.
In an effort to popularize the preseason, the Zadar Outdoor Festival was created by established Zadar tourist companies and agencies who decided that offering the world sports activities and competitions, workshops, lectures, plenty of domestic delicacies, and of course a guaranteed good time – all while showcasing the beauty of the Zadar region – was necessary. During the festival, there will also be a fair of local products to give small manufacturers the opportunity to present their products to a worldwide clientele.
“The festival under the slogan ‘Zadar Region – Your Adventure Playground’ is conceived as a combination of active lifestyle and tourism with the aim of promoting tourism in the region, which has many values and resources. Our desire is to consolidate the adventure offer and the jewels of this region,” said Iva Bencun, director of Zadar Outdoor.
Applications have already been arriving from around the world – including participants from Europe, North America, and Australia – and because the number of competitors is increasing day by day, the organizers are encouraging those interested in applying today!
