Zagreb hostel Swanky Mint has been named as the best hostel in Croatia for the second consecutive year.
According to a survey by one of the world’s leading hostel bookers Hostelworld, Swanky Mint was recognized as best in Croatia on the basis of guest reviews and ratings, reports HRTurizam on January 27, 2017.
While surely this isn’t the first accolade the Zagreb hostel has received, a great atmosphere and hard work has brought Swanky Mint several awards over the last four years – both domestic and foreign. The Croatian Tourist Board rated Swanky Mint one of the three best hostels in the country, European gateway Hostel Geeks awarded Swanky Mint a “5 Star Hostel”, British newspaper The Telegraph included them on their list of Europe’s best hostels, and they even received an award from the world’s largest hostel agency HostelBookers.
“We succeeded in this ‘social’ element between hotels and hostels and went with global ideas and local trends. Our location, decoration, and various programs are definitely a plus to the specificity of our story, but the largest part of our success that we are particularly proud of is the ratio of staff to guests. We managed to achieve making our guests really feel at home,” said Ante Grancarić, marketing manager of Swanky Mint in Zagreb, who added that this year they organized Advent in Tuškanac and have a lot of new plans for the upcoming season to increase the offer of Zagreb.

In addition to Swanky Mint offering a truly unique experience to both foreign and local guests, Swanky Mint is the first Zagreb hostel with a swimming pool! The pool itself is 8x4m and thus ranks among the most desired attractions to have on offer, with the aim of extending the stay of the guests more than 1.5 days, which is the usual average.
As this evidence is surely not coincidence, in additon, guests on TripAdvisor have ranked Swanky Mint as the best in Croatia with a rating of 97%, Booking.com ratings have given the hostel a score of 9.4, and Hostelworld awarded Swanky Mint with a score of 5 / 5 and a certificate of excellence.
