Uljanik’s unpaid workers step their frustration up a notch, could the strike happen tomorrow?
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 22nd of January, 2018, the ailing Uljanik’s unhappy workers who have planned to strike in retaliation to the fact that they didn’t receive a salary for the month of December last year gathered in front of the building of the Management Board this morning. The spontaneous gathering was a result of overall dissatisfaction and frustration with the Management Board’s work, but also with the trade unions.
In front of the Adriatic Trade Union, Boris Cerovac told Regional Express that he was just at a strike board meeting at which he arranged details of the strike apparently scheduled for tomorrow.
“Workers expressed their dissatisfaction before the Uljanik Administration, which, over the last few days, has repeatedly said and that the payment of wages won’t come until credit is obtained,” Cerovac stated.
Bruno Bulić, President of the Union of Istria, Kvarner and Dalmatia, said in a telephone interview with Regional Express this morning that today, the continuation of the conciliation was planned for 10:00.
If no salary is available to be paid, tomorrow’s strike will be announced.
