As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 30th of January, 2020, the opening of Valamar’s new centre, which can accommodate up to 1200 people and can be adapted to any type of conference, congress, seminar, meeting or exhibition, is planned for spring 2021 in Porec, Istria.
Croatia’s leading tourism company Valamar Riviera is building the largest hotel event centre in Istria. The Pical Convention Centre in Porec will be able to accommodate up to 1,200 people, deal with every type of conference, seminar, meeting, exhibition and event, and provide the highest level of support for the organisation of the event with it.
In addition to the large congress hall, guests will have seven meeting rooms and state-of-the-art event equipment, sound and technology made available to them. The Hotel Pinea will offer 514 accommodation units and a total of 1100 guest accommodation units nearby. A few minutes on foot from the old town of Porec, surrounded by beautiful scenery, Valamar’s new convention centre will also boast a great gastronomic offer and will offer guests interesting tours.
”We’re building the Pical Convention Centre as part of the largest project in Croatian tourism, with which we want to bring new quality to Porec’s tourism and strengthen its positioning as one of the most prestigious destinations on the Adriatic. The MICE segment of the tourism business enables the extension of the tourist season, brings guests interested in getting to know and experiencing the destination and our mission is to provide them with the best event and stay organisation service in Porec,” said Davor Brenko, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Valamar Riviera.
The total value of the investment that Valamar will realise at Hotel Pinea, the completion of which is planned for the 2021 season, stands at 790 million kuna. With investments already made in the previous period, which in addition to Hotel Pinea includes the Valamar Collection Marea Suites 5 * which opened last year, the Valamar Parentino Hotel 4 * will be expanded and further enriched with the more facilities for the 2020 season.
The gourmet offer will be expanded with various restaurants and bars, beaches, promenades, sports and recreational facilities for the citizens and guests of the increasingly popular Istrian city of Porec. Special care is being taken to arrange the horticulture, which includes the planting of trees, vegetation and ornamental plants. With the realisation of these investments, the Pical Riviera area in Porec will become one of the most attractive tourist zones in all of Croatia.
