The Australian media continue to follow the case of the three men who pleaded guilty to raping a 17 year-old Norwegian girl in Split, before buying their freedom from the country. Channel Nine’s “A Current Affair” confronts one of them, Waleed Latif, at the cinema with a date.

They may have bought their freedom from a Croatian prison for a little over $30,000 after coming to an agreement with a 17 year-old Nowegian girl they pleaded guilty to raping, but life in Australia for Waleed Latif, 21, Dylan Djohan, 23, and Ashwin Kumar, 23 is proving hard to put the events in a nightclub in Split behind them.

As previously reported on TCN, Australian media took great interest in the case, even more so when the identities of the three men were revealed, and Channel 9’s ‘A Current Affair’ show took things a little further on February 22, 2016, by confronting one of the men, Waleed Latif, as he went to the cimena with a date.

What happened next can be seen in this video link, as well as a rather unusual reaction by Latif’s date, as reported by News.com.au, who accused the Norwegian victim of being ‘feral’.
