Five Hvar restaurants bring a hint of Mediterranean magic to a historic fortress in Novi Sad.
So what do the restaurant owners of Hvar get up to out of season?
Well, some of them like to cook!
An interesting event in the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad last night, as five restaurants from Hvar combined with fine klapa and tamburaši musicians to put on a great gastronomic event in aid of raising money for the restoration of the hugely impressive Petrovaradin Fortress, which guards the Danube in the city.
Restaurants taking part were Kod Kapetana, Patak, Car from Villa Nora, Alviž and Toto’s in Palmižana, according to my man in Novi Sad, with legendary cheffing duo Tonči Jerković and Hrvoje Tomičić taking part. A short video report on Serbian news is below.
