Samples are taken from sources with adequate wine storage and expert staff, so inappropriate storage effects should be excluded. If a classic scent or taste is found on the cap (TCA), the samples is retasted from another bottle. A sample is immediately rejected if at least two thirds of the jury decides so. For a quality/price comparison the wine needs at least 85 points out of 100, or 17.5 points from 20, or 3 on a scale to 5.

TASTINGS at STARI PUNTIJAR and in ESPLANADE HOTEL *****
– Tastings by the Wine Stars Club with buyers guide ratings took place in the PUNTIJAR hotel in Gračani in Zagreb, followed by hotel ESPLANADE ***** in Zagreb. Two tasting took place close to each other due to vacation time.
In Puntijar hotel along with the permanent trio Vitomir Andrić, Ivo Kozarčanin and Željko Suhadolnik, reviewers were also enologist Ivica Perak, wine maker form Kutjevo and consultant in several wine cellar, as well as Boris Bernašek from the import and distribution company Vrutak. Wines were first poured by hotel and restaurant owner Zlatko Puntijar, followed by Nikola Brezić.
In Esplanade the trio was joined by sommelier Jelena Šimić Valentić, Ivan Dropuljić (Zagreb Vino.com), producer Boris Drenški Bodren, journalist Tomislav Radić. Wine was poured by Tomislav Klišanin.
