2014 Release of Ahearne South Side Hvar Plavac Mali at Zagreb VinoCOM Today

All wine roads lead to Hotel Esplanade today for the 2016 Zagreb VinoCOM fair, a two-day event which will bring together Croatia’s main winemakers, as well as an increasing international presence. 

There will be tastings and workshops, and plenty to look out for, including the 2014 release of Master of Wine Jo Ahearne’s South Side Hvar Plavac Mali. 

Jo, who moved to Hvar two years ago, in order to make wine, already has the acclaimed Ahearne Rosina rosé on the market, and South Side Hvar (from the difficult vintage of 2014) will be her second offering, and a white wine from this year’s harvest is also in the making. 

Jo will be pouring her new release in the Istanbul Room at table I28.
