Another wine bar opens in Hvar Town, a welcome new trend in the island’s nightlife.
One complaint I have heard over the years about nightlife in Hvar Town is that there are relatively few options for older people after dinner. If you are not into clubbing or going to loud bars, options were somewhat limited. That is changing slowly, and there is an encouraging new trend in Hvar nightlife.
Did you know for example that there are now more wine bars than nightclubs in Hvar Town? I visited a couple last night, including the recently opened Red Red Wine Bar which opened a couple of weeks back.
It is lovely, and its location is ideal, one street back from the busy waterfront, in a great neighbourhood, which includes the Coral Shop, Nonica, Green House organic shop and real estate specialists, Balustrade Estates.
Red Red Wine Bar fits into the neighbourhood perfectly, and it is already attracting a firm following of people looking to enjoy a good glass of wine in a cosy and social environment.
It is not big, some 30m2 inside and some seating out in the street, but it is a lovely intimate little setting with a great selection of wines at affordable prices. And if you are coffee fan, watch this space – one of the daytime attractions will shortly be fresh coffee from no less than six counties. I can’t find the flyer now, but they include Ethiopia, Brazil, Columbia, Guatemala and India.
A VERY nice addition to the Hvar scene, and good luck to the owners for the season. You can follow Red Red Wine Bar on Facebook, or learn more about them in their own words below.
