August the 29th, 2023 – The Croatian Valamar company, well-known in the tourism world, is set to plant an impressive 8000 trees before next year as part of their latest donation campaign.
Valamar is known for putting their focus on the environment as a company, whether it be via trying to source as much of the ingredients and food they serve in their facilities locally to planting new trees. This is their latest campaign, cleverly called ”Easy as one, two, tree”.
As Poslovni Dnevnik/Mladen Miletic writes, this is actually the second edition of the Croatian Valamar company’s “Easy as one, two, tree” donation campaign. This environmentally-minded campaign makes it possible for the guests of of Valamar’s many hotels and camps dotted all over the Republic of Croatia donate for reforestation. What is even more impressive is that it has reached its goal a whole two months earlier than expected.
With the help of hotel and campsite guests, the Croatian Valamar company will plant more than 8000 trees this year alone. This summer season, each Valamar guest had the opportunity to donate to plant more trees, and for each tree, Valamar undertook the responsibility of planting another one.
“This campaign is only part of the efforts we’ve been making to protect the environment and improve the quality of life of local residents and the satisfaction of our guests alike,” said Tea Pestotnik Prebeg, the director of the quality and sustainability sector of Valamar. She also made sure to state that since 2015, greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced by 67% within this large tourism enterprise.
