July 12, 2024 – For those seeking the perfect escape from everyday stress, Hvar is the ideal destination this weekend. On July 12 and 13, Velo Grablje will host the 16th Lavender Festival, promising a unique atmosphere filled with the scents, colors, and sounds of this beautiful island.
The Lavender Festival offers a rich and diverse program. Visitors will be able to participate in various workshops, visit exhibitions, and enjoy performances and book promotions. As part of the festival and the 69th Hvar Summer Festival, the LADO ensemble (celebrating its 75th anniversary this year) will perform a concert on Friday, July 12, at one of the most beautiful open stages, the Hvar Veneranda.
The Lavender festival will conclude with a performance by the band Pavel in Velo Grablje, an idyllic village that prides itself on its tradition and beauty. Lavender, with its enchanting scent and healing properties, has held a special place in the lives and hearts of the people of Hvar for centuries.
The Pjover Association, the main organizer of the 16th Lavender Festival, contributes to the preservation and promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of Velo Grablje and the island of Hvar with their work, and this time they have prepared an event that will reveal why lavender holds such significance on Hvar.
