Well, it seems Karamarko is getting his resignations within the police one way or another.
Remember the big heist on Sunday Total Croatia News reported on when gold and cash were taken from a police precinct in the middle of Zagreb? As reported by Hina on April 5, 2016, Minister of Interior Vlaho Orepić that national police director Vlado Dominic and three other senior police officers had resigned following the robbery. The head of the organised crime unit, Zeljko Dolacki, could face disciplinary proceedings, Orepić added.
“Something happened that should never happen and it shows that the system is not functioning so we have to reorganise ourselves,” Orepić stated at a press conference.
He declined to elaborate, saying the investigation was continuing. Police have made no arrests so far.
According to media reports, thieves broke into the office of the head of the unit and stole 280,000 euros in cash along with two kilograms of gold worth approximately 75 000 euros and confidential documents.
Even though the police confirmed the heist, there’s still no confirmation on what was actually taken from the safe. The gold and cash were believed to have been confiscated from criminals.
