Eagerly awaited by handball fans all around the world, the draw for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games handball tournament took place today at the Future Arena in the Olympic Park in Barra de Tijuca, home of handball during the Games.
Croatia will face Argentina, Qatar, Denmark, France and Tunisia in Group A of the tournament. The best four teams from the group stage will go through to the quarterfinals and meet the teams from the Group B.
The other group includes Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Brasil, Germany, and Egypt. The Croatian coach, Željko Babić told the media he expects his team to reach the quarterfinals, and that he will do his best for the team to be in the best form in the knockout stage.
