All is set for the cycling XCM treat named “2 Islands on 2 wheels” set to begin on May 28 at 3 p.m. in Trogir, under patronage of the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, reports BikeMagazin.info on May 25, 2016.
The race totaling 31 km starts from the Trogir seafront, passing through the UNESCO protected Old Town core, continuing over Čiovo island to Gospa od Prizidnica, past Slatina and back and will surely be a treat for all participants. The track was adapted for most serious amateurs, with a total climb of 600 meters.
“The track has been marked and can be tested before the race. We have just under 200 entries so far, so we expect a real crowd at the start. We hope participants will cherish the sight of Kamerlengo tower, old Trogir town core and Čiovo island across which most of the race passes. Following the event there is a concert by Gustafi on the main city square” – explained Ozren Cmrečnjak, president of Kaiors cycling club, the main organizer of the competition.
