New international food and wine portal in the making
Matija Babić, the man behind one of Croatia’s most read news portals Index.hr, has been working hard on his new media adventure, a global gastro project “Taste Atlas”. It seems the project has reached the final realization stage since he asked his large number of followers on Facebook on December 20, 2015 to join him.
“There are 10 of us, and we are looking for 4 more future colleagues. And that is why I am publishing this ad for the most ambitious project I’ve ever worked on and the one which is closest to my heart”.
His “life project” will cover food and wine subjects from all corners of the globe, but before you envision yourself spending days in fine restaurants in different countries, Matija had this to say about the coveted position: “I am looking for candidates for research & writing, with flawless command of the English language (since all texts will be written in English), high work ethic, perseverance and enthusiasm. You have to invest at least 40 hours a week in this project since, in my experience, anything less than that will not be enough. Apply, write something about yourself and inform us of your conditions. You will then receive a test assignment and we can start. It is not a romantic or glamorous job, we are not talking about cooking or dining in restaurants, we are talking about a lot of typing”.
