A childhood dream turned into a successful business.
At first, Ivana Popović was showing her work on the forums, and then she started writing a blog and launched her own website. Today, she mostly communicates with her customers on social networks. But, you might also see her at various fairs and events where she exhibits her creations. Colourful and fun, special and unique, these are the words most often used to describe her work, reports Večernji List on June 24, 2016.
“When I was a child”, says Ivana, “I kept arranging beads and decorating items in my own way. It got more serious business-wise when I was pregnant. I began to sew bags and decorate them with beads and paint. I was making jewellery, and the ideas just kept coming to me. My creativity did not end there. I began making sandals – unique and special, so that each can tell a story of their own”, this cheerful, young lady explained.
And her pom-pom sandals became a true hit of the season. They are a treat for any trendsetter out there who wants to be seen this summer. Production process for each pair sometimes lasts an entire day. First, she talks to a customer about what they want regarding the colour and details, because she wants the new owner to get an entirely custom-made product. “I dedicate myself to each individual product so that both my customers and I are absolutely happy with the final outcome”, says Ivana, who “hides” behind the Meteora Unique brand.
“The interest is great, as sandals in general are a real hit this summer, and can be combined with all outfits and styles. The pom-pom sandals look particularly good when combined with denim or dresses”, she added.
Although her offer is already wide and she barely finds time for herself, Ivana is not planning to stop anytime soon. She would like to expand her production to bags and clothing. Some of these new items might become available this summer.
