The Daruvar Spa are in an irreplaceable environment pristinely maintained, with renovated infrastructure and a feeling of a place to relax. Since they turned to the market, they began making money, attracting more guests (foreign too) and in the first six months of this year already have a 1.6 million Kuna profit!
Such a market story of the Daruvar Spa as a rarely successful example among Croatian sanatoriums began when the state – cut their levy, Poslovni Dnevnik reported on July 21, 2016.
“We were in a situation where for the same amount of national health care patients we had 600,000 Kuna less every month. So how can one keep the same level? We realised we have to turn to the market and cannot count on the safety of the national health care contract. Now, for the first time we have made more money in the market than from the state,” said Bruno Marić, Management Council member of the spa, personally usually connected with football fields where he is a professional referee.

“Regardless if they are patients or tourists, we want to get people interested in their health. We offer our guests the complete Daruvar experience, from wine roads to local farms, therapy horseback riding…,” explained the manager of the spa Marcel Medak.
