Who is Ready for the Hvar New Year’s Day Dive 2017?

With thanks to Mark Boellaard for the invitation to what could become a cult event for the bravehearted at 1300 at Bonj les Bains on New Year’s Day – are you brave/crazy enough?

After a few spontaneous New Year’s dives in previous years, last year we decided that it would be a nice idea to make an official event out of it.  So, January1st of 2016 was the first offical Hvar New Year’s Dive.

All in all around twelve people took the plunge, which actually greatly exceeded our expectations. We’re very curious how many people will show up this time around!

In the meantime we also started a group called Polarni Tovari/Polar Donkey’s. Our aim is to promote winter swimming on Hvar, to reach out to possible other winter swimmers on Hvar and to document our winter swimming adventures.
