Italian businessman Riccardo Mazzucchelli, known for a number of real estate acquisitions, has decided to sell part of his assets in Split.
More specifically, Mazzucchelli has put his Marmontova 1 address up for sale, which is located on the first floor across from the fish market, just above the Bobis pastry shop that has been operating for decades, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on February 12, 2017.
While the area of the apartment is just over 43 square meters, the 74-year-old entrepreneur has named an asking price of 215,000 euros, which is equivalent to yesterday’s exchange rate from the Croatian National Bank of about 1.6 million kuna. Mazzucchelli is selling the apartment through the company “Asco”.
Since the Marmontova apartment is located in a protected cultural and historic zone in an extremely attractive location with tourism potential, Mazzucchelli first offered the apartment for the city to purchase. The city of Split showed no interest in such a transaction. The same thing can be expected from the city council which will host a meeting next Friday to decide on the request. The county has stated that their budget for this year did not anticipate funds for the purchase of real estate.
The Italian entrepreneur was the third of four former husbands to Ivana Trump (the new US president Donald Trump was the second). The Marmontova apartment, according to data from the land register, consists of “two rooms, a kitchen, dining room and bathroom.”
The reason as to why Mazzucchelli has prompted the search for a new owner of the apartment is unknown.
