Police refutes previous media reports
Even though news of a Pelješac fire related arrest spread within minutes on Friday night, Dubrovnik Neretva County police department quickly denied that any arrests were made in relation to the fire that devastated half of this beautiful Croatian peninsula.
Police department states that they are doing everything possible to investigate the cause o this catastrophic event and refused to comment whether anyone was questioned so far.
Even though the fires on Pelješac are now under control, ahead of all the inhabitants is the tough task of rebuilding, replanting and most of all continuing with their daily life now that they have lost their olive groves, vineyards and fields.
