Jelsa’s massive facelift continues, and a big day for the new fountain square where once the taxi drivers waited, between the car park and the main square.
Jelsa has seen a lot of cranes in the last few years, and one was on hand to drop the fountain base into position.
My understanding is that the square will be completed by March 15, in plenty of time for Easter.
I am not sure I will recognise the place after just a few weeks away, especially as there are more developments going out of town from the bus station to the main exit. A much more pleasant walking experience with the new pavement, as you can see below.
