Everybody’s talking about fantastic areal shots of our coast taken from space
We have seen countless areal photos of Dalmatia and the Croatian islands but on February 8, 2016, we all got the opportunity to see our beautiful country from an entirely different perspective – from space.

German astronaut Alexander Gerst has been tweeting photos of different corners of our planet taken from the International space station, and today he decided to share photos of Croatian islands and Dalmatia. One photo depicts the North and part of Mid Dalmatia while the second photo shows Middle Dalmatia with a focus on Brač, Hvar, Šolta, Drvenik Veli and Drvenik Mali.
Both photos were taken back in 2014 and tweeted today. You can follow Alexander’s exciting space adventure on his Twitter account @Astro_Alex
