Adults can attend one of the 600 events during Zagreb Cultural Summer this year, but our little citizens have various interesting events to look forward to as well
After school ends in June, Zagreb ZOO traditionally organises a five-day adventure for children grades 2 to 6. During “Wild Summer” workshop, children are given a chance to spend some time with the animals, such as snakes, bears, parrots, and find out interesting facts about nature and science. They learn what zookeepers do, do experiments and practical work, and have fun playing educational games. After completing the programme, the participants will get a special diploma.
The concept is similar each year, but the individual tasks are always different. Some of the activities include Young Zookeepers, ZOO Lab, Explorers’ Journal, Taking care of the animals, Wild Garden, and Games and Quizzes.
The programme starts on Mondays and ends on Fridays, June 19 – September 1, 2017. There will be two groups your child can join – the first one 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and the second one 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. There are 10 – 24 children in each group.
The price is 480 HRK and it includes workshops, snacks, drinks, a dessert, and all necessary equipment and materials.
You can register here and find out more and contact the ZOO at +385 1 7788 534 or [email protected].
