Spectacular ‘Days in the Bay’ Maritime Festival Returns to Stari Grad in September

It was the highlight of Stari Grad’s 2400 year celebrations last year, and the town has announced that ‘Dani u Vali’ (Days in the Bay Festival) will return in September.

It was a fitting end to Stari Grad’s birthday celebrations last year. The former island capital’s historic harbour was filled with sailboats, and a magnificent firework display lit up the bay in an unforgettable finale. The Croatian President paid a visit, and the four-day festival celebrating the very finest Croatian maritime traditions, aided by excellent food, wine, workshops and concerts, was certainly one of the tourist events of the summer. 

And the good news is that the festival will be held once more this year, with this year’s event taking place from September 14-17, with more than 100 boats due to take part.
