Photo of the Day: Rising High

The Veli Rat lighthouse on Dugi Otok Island was built in 1849 and stretches 42 metres towards the sky, claiming the title of the tallest Adriatic lighthouse. It is renowned for its yellow façade, and the legend says a 100.000 yolks were used on it.
