Croatian Mountain Rescue Service: “Try to Avoid Hitching a Ride Home with Us or Any Other Rescue Service”

We love HGSS’ sense of humour.

The comedy geniuses at Croatian Mountain Rescue Service have had statuses that are nothing short of brilliant in the past weeks – from Drinking alcohol isn’t hydrating to Not the panoramic flight you were looking for,
repeating their sage advice on not wearing flip flops

or suggesting you hold onto the omnipresent pink flamingos so you can be spotted at sea more easily.

Their latest post on Facebook got over 4.5 thousand likes, so it seems that everyone loves them as much as we do.

Remember the “It’s too hot, we can’t work” notice at the Municipal State Attorney’s office in Zagreb?

Well, HGSS certainly does.

“Regardless of the weather conditions, we and all other rescue services in the Republic of Croatia (the police, firefighters, ER, Croatian Armed Forces…) continue serving our clients 24/7, 365 days a year. In case of emergency, call 112 so we can direct you to the rescue service you need. However convenient it might seem, try to avoid hitching a ride home with us or any other rescue service.

We love you, HGSS, please organise a stand-up comedy event so we can attend it. Preferably on top of a mountain, so we can come in flip flops.
