A praiseworthy action of underwater cleanup by Periska eco and diving club from Ploče to take place next weekend.
Ecological and diving club “Periska” from Ploče is organizing an underwater cleanup on September 2, 2017 at two location is Ploče area – Portina-Baćina Bay and Ploče City Beach, reports Pomorac.net, on August 26, 2017.
The cleanup will be held in the time period from 8.00 A.M. to 12.00 P.M. Around 15 to 20 freedivers will be taking part in the action with 10 to 15 volunteers helping out on the coast. Vessels for receiving collected waste material will also be involved in the action, securing the transport of waste from the sea to the coast. The cleaning area will be marked with signal buoys. Two more cleanups are planned by the end of August – in cooperation with the Red Cross Ploče: cleanup of the area of the Lower Neretva river and the seabed by the waterfront in Ploče.

Prior to the cleaning of the seabed in Ploče, the Periska divers will remove stone blocks and seafront elements in line with planned waterfront restoration organized by the City of Ploče.
