Not a great start for Dinamo in the next Europa League season.
UEFA has punished Dinamo Zagreb for the use of pyrotechnics and racist behavior during their first Europa League playoff match at Maksimir against Skenderbeu from Albania, reports Gol.hr on August 25, 2017.
Due to fan behavior during the game against Skenderbeu, the European Football Federation’s disciplinary commission has penalized Dinamo for the use of pyrotechnics and for violating Article 14 of UEFA’s Disciplinary Rule on racist behavior. UEFA has punished Dinamo with closing the northern tribune of Maksimir for their first European match next season and a 5,000 EUR fine over the fan incidents.

Dinamo Zagreb has asked for an immediate explanation of the sentence from UEFA to find out how exactly they were in violation of Article 14.
Dinamo ended this year’s European season early by failing to qualify against Skenderbeu. This was the first time the club has failed to advance to the group stage of the competition since the 2006-07 season.
At the first match at Maksimir, Dinamo and Skenderbeu drew 1-1. The match in Albania ended 0-0.
