The young designer from Zagreb is competing for the title of most successful international fashion designer
Sara Lončarić, a young fashion designer from Zagreb and the creator of the Blackpearl fashion brand, is the only Croatian designer about to participate in the upcoming Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Budapest, reports Novi list on September 21, 2017.
The major fashion event will take place from October 13 to 15 in Budapest for the seventh year in a row. The central theme of this year’s manifestation is integration of technology in fashion design and the fashion of future, one that has already been introduced through popular prints and the use of artificial intelligence.
Our designer will present her Spring/Summer 2018 collection. She still hasn’t disclosed any details about the collection she is about to show in Hungary, but stated she was inspired by the Victorian era, and that she mostly used cotton, viscose and luxurious jacquard in pastel colors.
Lončarić launched her Blackpearl fashion brand in 2015 under the motto ‘We believe excellence is key to our success.’ Blackpearl is known as a high-quality, sophisticated brand that interprets classical cuts in a modern way, using only luxurious materials of best quality, such as fine wool, leather, fur, silk and viscose. All garments produced by Blackpearl are designed to perfectly adapt to women’s bodies, resulting in a refined overall look.
Small collections, the beauty of details featured on otherwise simple cuts, timeless elegance and designs that don’t go out of fashion – the so-called French style – are the best words to describe the character of Blackpearl, said the designer.
Participation in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week entails Lončarić competing for the coveted title of the most successful international fashion designer and a reward of 10.000 euro. Best of luck!
