The company has officially introduced three 4K UHD TV models produced in Croatia.
At a press conference in Rugvica near Zagreb, the Vivax team has presented the line of the first Croatian 4K TVs – Vivax SMART UHD 4K LED TV in sizes 43, 49 and 55 inches, reports tportal.hr on October 3, 2017.
“In the spring of 2016, we launched the only Croatian production line for TV sets and offered the markets in the region Vivax LED TVs,” said Vladimir Brkljača, executive director of the M SAN Group. “Today, after just a year and a half, we present full-featured UHD 4K LED TVs produced in our facility. I can proudly point out that Vivax’s plant is the only such plant in the wider region.”
During the press conference, Vivax also introduced its production line, starting with a clean room, where employees are dressed in sterile antistatic clothes and produce screens for 4K LED TVs. The minimum two-hour testing of each device marks the end of the production cycle.
“Our new generation of Vivax UHD LED TVs, like all its predecessors, is entirely compatible with all the current as well as the newly-announced standards of digital signal reception. All the models support the new DVB-T2 H.265 HEVC standard that will become mandatory in 2019,” explained Damir Husnjak, head of Vivax product development.
“One of the most important features of UHD TVs, in addition to the 4K screen, is the ability to install various Google Play Store apps, which gives our users the ability to adapt their sets to their needs. All UHD TVs are equipped with 1.5 GB/8 GB memory,” added Husnjak. “Global trends are moving in the direction of the greater share of UHD 4K TVs, which is certainly an important indicator of the direction we should take,” added Brkljača.
Some EU countries have already initiated the 4K transition process (Germany and the Czech Republic), which enables the transmission of TV content in the 4K resolution, which will automatically bring about a significant increase in production and availability of 4K video content, thereby creating greater demand for UHD TVs and affecting the speed of development of these TVs. The Croatian market is indeed moving in this direction, and digitalisation will further contribute to the expansion of the use of this technology.
“At the heart of the development of our products is their interconnectivity into a unique user network. With our mobile phone, you can control 4K TVs and use the screen mirroring feature to show your photos and videos from mobile phones on a large screen. Of course, these features also apply to all other modern Android mobile devices,” said Huzjak, confirming that Internet of Things principle was in full swing.
The recommended retail price of TV sets is from 3,499 kunas for 43-inch models to 4,699 kunas for 55-inch models.
