I remember when the Joker shopping center first opened. I was visiting Split with my family and a group of dear friends from the States, and we were looking for a way to kill time before a Hajduk match at Poljud. Being the first proper shopping mall in Split, it was a big deal, and ten years later, it still is.
As many of you know, Joker is no longer the only shopping mall in Split. With City Center One popping up a few years ago and the Mall of Split opening last year, the people of Split (and Dalmatia) have more than a few options to choose from. Fortunately, Joker has proved its relevance and located just a short walk from the center of town; it remains one of the busiest.
This weekend, Joker Shopping Center celebrates ten years. Over three days, visitors can enjoy discounts, concerts, fashion, gastro shows, and more, reports Dalmatinski Portal on October 5, 2017.
First things first, want to be in the running for a new Audi A1? If you make a purchase at Joker from October 6 to October 12, 2017, shoppers will enter a drawing for the car which will be held on December 21, 2017.
On the afternoon of Friday, October 6th, the celebratory weekend kicks off with cake, fireworks, and a big concert by Zlatko Pejakovic. Nives Ivankovic will lead the program at 19:00.
On Saturday, October 7th, the program begins at 11:00 with the Joker gastro show! Here, visitors will be able to cook and be served the delicacies of chef Ivan Pažanin and his famous guests. Pink Ribbon Day will also be marked today to warn of early detection of breast cancer. Donations to the gastro show will be given to treat women with breast cancer. Joker will also honor guests with mandarins.
The afternoon program will be dedicated to the youngest shoppers with the children’s play ‘Who am I, What am I’ at 18:00. At 20:00, the stage will be set for fashion and beauty. The fashion show is another event in the program that will be dedicated to Pink Ribbon Day. The looks of fashion designer Monika Sablić will be worn by Biljana Mančić, Martina Fernandes, Nives Ivankovic, Josip Pavičić, Dina Levačić, and Renata Lovrinčević
Sunday, October 8th is dedicated to children. At 11:00, children can have fun with Šarenko the clown, and shortly after that, the Talent Studio M dance show will begin with Seven Winds, Clique and Gabriela. At 17:00, the children’s play ‘What is the most beautiful season?’ will begin, followed by the magician Casper and, after 18:00, the dance group Perlice will entertain the crowd.
