As the Euro 2016 is approaching, Croatian national team started its preparations for the event
Croatian national team will play a friendly match against Israel in Osijek on March 23, 2016. Along with the debut of the new kit, national coach Ante Čačić has announced that he will promote the team’s new system of play, copying the one introduced by Ćiro Blažević in ‘98.
Croatian Football Federation has chosen Osijek for the venue, as pointed out by the team captain Darijo Srna because it is one of just a few cities where there will be no whistles for the team. It is worth noting that they are not meant for the team, but for the officials managing the CFF, but that is the subject for some other occasion.
Croatian team will miss one of its star players, Ivan Rakitić, as he is injured, but came to Croatia to be presented with an award by the supporters group of the national team “Uvijek Vjerni”. As we pointed out, coach Čačić will promote a new formation on the pitch, or actually an old one 3-5-2.
