Check out gingerbreads, licitar hearts and other original Zagreb souvenirs at Zagreb Souvenir Fair on Jelačić Square.
Local craftsmen and souvenir manufacturers will showcase their recognizable products at the ‘Zagreb Souvenir Fair, fully named “Souvenir Manufacturers of Zagreb to Zagreb” (Proizvođači suvenira grada Zagreba – Zagrebu), which will take place from 21 to 29 October 2017 at the Ban Josip Jelačić Square, reports Zagrebancija on October 19, 2017.
A dozen craftsmen will present their handmade products at the traditional souvenir fair organised by the Association of Craftsmen Zagreb.
The wide variety of souvenir products will include handcrafted souvenirs made of wood, cloth and ceramics, unusual miniatures in cans, recognizable gingerbread and licitar hearts, candlesticks and objects made in the ‘tiffany’ technique and hand-painted glassware and ceramics featuring authentic motives of the city of Zagreb and its sights.
The aim of the fair is to promote the profession and to encourage the development of original Zagreb souvenirs while simultaneously enriching Zagreb’s tourist offer.
The fair opened on Saturday, October 21 at 12:00 o’clock. You can check out and buy unique pieces of Croatian culture and history, handmade by local artisans and craftsmen until Saturday, October 28.
