Šibenik Sailing Arena is set to begin next weekend!
As Morski writes on the 1st of February, 2018, the sailing project entitled ”Šibenik Sailing Arena” begins next weekend with the first race in the D-Marin Croatian Sailing League 2018.
ŠibenikIN reports that Šibenik will host eight sailing teams that will fight for the title of the best sailing club in 2018. The regattas will continue until May, by which time we’ll know which is really the strongest sailing team in Croatia.
The D-Marin Croatia Sailing League series is a ”one-design” regatta with a view to promoting and developing flotilla on equal sailboats and is intended for all categories of sailors; olympic, junior, senior, offshore and recreational sailors.
Each sailboat team represents its home base. Sailors can easily change from regatta to the regatta, and the organiser provides equal sailboats where all those involved will all have the opportunity to showcase their sailing skills and knowledge through short, dynamic regattas. This is otherwise currently the fastest-growing sailing concept in the world, and the reason for it is the reduction in logistical costs.
The goal of the world organisation of the Sailing Champions League is that the most successful clubs in each league compete against each other, and in the end the best club wins the title of ”Best Sailing Club of the Year”.
