The 23rd GAST fair will take place from February 28 to March 3, 2018, at Split’s Spaladium Arena.
The 23rd GAST International Fair, held at Split’s Spaladium Arena from February 28 to March 3, 2018, will be officially opened on Wednesday, February 28th at 10:00. The Split-Dalmatia County prefect Blaženko Boban will open the fair in the capacity of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.
The 2018 GAST fair includes many specialized shows which include the 23rd International Food Fair, the 23rd International Wine Fair, the 23rd International Fair of Hotels and Catering Equipment, the 23rd International Wine Fair – Dionysos, 13th International Coffee Fair, 13th Tourism Fair – Saturn and the 3rd International Ice Cream and Dessert Fair.
In the framework of the conference program, a tourism conference titled the ‘7th Tourism Network’ will be held, and traditionally, GAST follows many interesting and attractive events. These include ‘Dionysus’ – the 23rd international wine and spirits award ceremony and the award ceremony for wineries, indigenous cuisine, the Split gastro scene, Wine workshops, barmen competitions and humanitarian events, as well as a series of presentations and tastings like the exclusive presentation of delicacies from Turopolje pigs.
For years, the GAST fair has been the leading gastronomic and tourism event in Croatia and the region that gathers the best of gastronomy, travel, wine-making and catering and tourism companies.
Over the years, GAST has positioned itself as an inevitable event for gathering businesspeople to exchange experiences, improve existing cooperation and create new jobs just before the tourist season in the attractive and growing Croatian tourist market. At the same time, GAST 2018 is also a place where businesspeople from the tourism and hospitality sector have the opportunity to connect with decision makers in all segments of the tourism industry, improve contacts with existing customers and acquire new ones, present their products and services to the target market, participate in media exposure, and engage in stimulating professional and entertaining programs.
GAST 2018 is held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, the Croatian Ministry of Agriculture, the Croatian Ministry of the Economy, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Split-Dalmatia County, the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board and the City of Split.
The inauguration ceremony will begin with the words of Sanja Vuković Veić, the director of Sajma d.o.o. and the organizers of GAST 2018. Speeches will also be given by the Marketing Directors of Dalmacijavino – the partner of GAST 2018, Ana Mandac, Assistant to the Minister of Economy Martina Dalić, Tonči Glavina, State Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, the Director of the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Split Chamber of Commerce Split Vesna Friedl, Joško Stella, Director of the Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County and the Mayor of Split Andro Krstulović Opara.
