The most popular beach in the summer season is surely the Pržina beach, whose name refers to the local word for sand. Located in a large bay facing south in Lumbarda, the easternmost village on Korčula Island, it is easily accessible by car and bus, attracting visitors from a large part of the island. Although mostly calm and protected from the west and north winds, southern Jugo wind brings large waves crashing onto the beach, an attraction of its own. Adjacent are also several bars, all together set next to vineyards and olive groves.
