The return of a royal yacht on August 12, 2018.
We missed it last year, as it has not made yet another appearance, after spending a few days in Korčula in 2016, but it seems that the Qatari royal family enjoyed it here enough to come for a visit this year as well.
It will probably dock at the town’s West Port later in the day, but thus far the passengers on the yacht (we were not able to get the confirmation of their identity) are enjoying some wonderful swim time and other water fun activities near Lumbarda (see photo). Some of the younger passengers were seen enjoying a pizza in one of the pizza places in the old town easier today – kids will be kids, no matter how big the yacht they came on is.
And this one is, as you can see, quite big – in 2016 it was in the top 15 largest yachts in the world, and it’s got more real-estate than entire Lumbarda. And a little helicopter, because, of course it does.
Hopefully the passengers on the yacht will enjoy their time on and around Korčula as much as anyone else, just like they (apparently, since they came back) did two years ago!
