Yacht Fire Off Split Coast: Passengers Evacuated

A large cloud of smoke was seen in the Split channel this afternoon. 

Just before 14:00, a 10-meter yacht caught on fire in the Split channel. There were two passengers on the yacht who were evacuated by the Port Authority, reports Dalmacija Danas on August 31, 2018. 

The fireboat of DVD Kaštel Gomilica and the JVP Split fire brigade was at the scene. It is unlikely the yacht will be saved at all. Most importantly, all passengers and crew are safe.
