April 11, 2019 – The second Sinj ‘Smrčkijada’ will be held on April 13 and 14, 2019.
The highly anticipated Sinj ‘Smrčkijada’ is held at the initiative of the ‘Sunčanica’ mushroom association and in cooperation with the Sinj Tourist Board.
The event aims to encourage the citizens of Sinj to become acquainted with the variety of mushrooms in the area, promote mushrooms in your diet and to educate the public about edible species.
On Saturday, April 13, 2019, a lecture will be held on the premises of HGSS at the City Stadium at 18:00 – Morels (Morchella) of Cetina krajina.
The program on Sunday, April 14, 2019, starts at 8 am with the gathering of participants and a welcome drink.
After that, the participants will be divided into groups to hunt Morels.
Upon returning from the hunt at about 12:30, the determination of fungi, snacks and an awards ceremony will be held.
Otherwise, this year, the Sunčanica mushroom society celebrates its 20th anniversary, and the Smrčkijada is a unique opportunity to gather all lovers of nature and mushrooms. There will even be something for the youngest participants!
