16th Edition of S.A.R.S. Begins Today!

The sixteenth edition of the S.A.R.S. festival, a three-day musical spectacle, begins tonight!

From Friday, July 20 to Sunday, July 22, the plateau of the former Ivaniš Nelipić barracks in Sinj will be an oasis for lovers of good music – and members of the Sinj Cultural Urban Movement (SKUP), who have hosted around one hundred performers to date, are ready to raise the festival to a whole new level, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on July 19, 2018.

Today, S.A.R.S. lasts for three days, and visitors still have the chance to camp. But this year, besides music, they can enjoy forty types of craft beer!

“This year we changed the concept. Previously, it was just a music festival, and now we are working with the Craft Beer To Go club from Zagreb. Two days of the festival will focus on the bands, and the third day will put more emphasis on food and drink, with a band playing traditional Irish music,” S.K.U.P. explained.

“We looked at the festival’s capabilities, with its strengths, and we started promoting a quality festival that Sinj deserves. We are constantly working on the fact that S.A.R.S. will continue and develop. We got the attention of media, advertisers, and the broader audience, and it was time to talk about the fifteenth, and now the sixteenth, to the regional audience. Not to ignore Split and Split-Dalmatia County, which already knows about us, but we want to turn to the rest of Croatia, BiH… We are also doing this to increase the tourist offer in Sinj to bring people to Sinj. These are the people who have the money and who will spend it here. From this, we will continue to build, invest in the festival and thus promote Sinj and Inland Dalmatia in the region,” says Knežević Gusić, and it seems that interests outside of Croatia already exists.
