4th Horse Caravan – Summer ’95 Event Held Over the Weekend (Photos)

Organized by the Association of Juvenile Volunteers of the Homeland War in Split-Dalmatia County, co-organized by the Horse Club Sv. Mihovil, and with the support of the Split-Dalmatia County, Sinj Tourist Board, and the Sinj and Hrvace Municipalities, the 4th Horse Caravan – Summer ’95 was held on June 9, 2018. 

In memory of the significant liberation of the military and police campaign of the summer of ’95, the 4th Horse Caravan – Summer ’95 was held on Saturday. 

Over 40 horsemen from Zagreb, Knin and the cities and towns of Split-Dalmatia County gathered for the caravan at the Sinj Hippodrome. Their final destination was the Veteran’s Cooperative ‘Patriot’ in Dabar. The caravan traveled from the Hippodrome across the Sinj field to the Cetina river, then to Vojskova and the Croat Field and across the bridge to Panj and Bitelić, Vučipolje, Zasiok, before finally arriving in Dabar.

Throughout the route, horsemen from other settlements through which the caravan traveled, as well as numerous horsemen from Split, Dugopolje, and Dicmo, joined. The caravan boasted representatives of numerous associations, equestrian clubs, and OPGs. The caravan was led by flag-bearers that, along with the state, wore the banners of the Guardian Brigades of the Croatian Army and the flags of several associations which derived from the Homeland War.

The organizer of the 4th Horse Caravan – the Association of Juvenile Volunteers of the Homeland War of Split-Dalmatia County and co-organizer Horse Club Sv. Mihovil – Trilj – are extremely pleased with the response and the number of caravan participants, as well as the media coverage of the event and are grateful to all who recognized the importance of this event and contributed to its realization.
