A look at what’s happening at Advent in Sinj this holiday week.
As part of the Advent in Sinj program, there are several festive and fun events planned for all visitors to enjoy.
Today’s program kicked off at 10:00 this morning at the Sinj City Theater with a performance of “Nema poraza za djeda Mraza”. The program continues at 18:00 where visitors of Advent can head to the Church of the Miraculous Lady of Sinj, and at 18:30, the City Cinema will promote the film “U zemane” (In the Land) by the Association for the Conservation of the Cetina Heritage.
In the evening at the Alojzije Stepinac Promenade, Advent in Sinj will host a gastronomic evening featuring local band Ljuta Kuća. The program begins at 20:00, and is organized by the City of Sinj and the Tourist Board of Sinj. Members of the Association for the Conservation of the Cetina Heritage will also be present, while Sinj’s local producers are responsible for the gastronomic offer. Edo Crljen from the Old Crafts Association will deliver the best Sinj fry bread to visitors.
On December 21st, as part of the Advent program in Sinj, a children’s show and the Christmas Fair of the Primary School of St. Paul Vučković will be held.
On Friday, December 22nd, the Center for Rehabilitation Fr. Ante Sekelez from Vrlika will organize a fair for handicrafts where visitors can find Christmas decorations and ornaments. Each purchase will go towards the organizer of humanitarian actions. For the evening part of the program at the Sinj City Theater, there will be a traditional performance by the Sinj Majorettes, and at 20:00, Noa and the Funkblasters will perform at the Alojzije Stepinac Promenade.
The night before Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 23rd at 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm, the Sinj folk theater has prepared two performances for children. At 17:45, the fourth Advent candle will be lit, followed by the arrival of Santa Claus who will gift the youngest visitors with sweets and presents.
As a continuation of the program, at 20.00, an acoustic night will be held featuring young renowned musicians: Nebo Roza, Petar Nižić and Doma & Tomo. At Vojarna Ivaniša Nelipić, starting at 21:00, a concert by local favorite band M.O.R.T. and the Kidney Stones will be held.
