Following the collaboration with the world’s largest student organization AIESEC, on August 5, 2018, Sinj was visited by students Deren Karaibrahim (Turkey), Hasan Keşoğlu (Turkey), Francesca Cipolletta (Italy), Riccardo Gorgone (Italy), Aaron Tham (Canada), Charlotte Daemen (Netherlands), and Margareta Tošić (Serbia) as part of an agreement with the Tourist Board of Sinj. The hosts of the gathering were Filip and Deila Doljana from Split.
The purpose of the visit was for the students to contribute and write blogs about the tourist offer and potential of the City of Sinj and the Cetina Region. A connection to the city of Sinj will be published on various social networks and blogs as well. This form of promotion has proven to be effective for all young tourists who are targeted in destinations that are interesting and appealing to them.
This year, the announcements from Sinj began just before the Alka ceremonies to ensure visitors fully comprehend this unique event and its significance for the entire Republic of Croatia. A special atmosphere was also created with the celebration of the Day of Victory, Homeland Thanksgiving and Croatian Defenders.
During their visit, the students saw the Shrine of the Miraculous Lady of Sinj, numerous Sinj monuments, Fortress Kamičak and Fortress City, Sinjska Alka Museum, followed by the 303rd Alka as well as all the events that followed.
