The tight connection between Sinj and the Cetina region with these noble and unique animals is most noticeable in the Sinj Alka itself, though this connection is much deeper and lasts throughout the year. Namely, the horses are carefully supervised by experts to ensure the best and highest quality of care. As the organizers point out, the horse’s health is more important than its breed, breeders, owners and riders, organizers, sponsors, and club representatives.

The special healing power of the horse has proved to be an extremely positive effect on therapeutic riding for people with disabilities.

The competition aims to foster the development of equestrian sport in the region, to stimulate interest in competitions between existing and potential riders, and in particular, to encourage the psycho-physical development and maturation of younger riding groups and gain valuable experience for young riders and riders of equestrian sports.

The Sinj Tourist Board invites you to witness this exciting sporting event in Sinj and to support the Sinj competitors from the Alkar club.
