In Sinj this weekend?
Because there are equestrian events in Croatia today, and in order to preserve this tradition as much as they can, Horse Club Alkar has organized three galloping races at the Sinj Hippodrome on June 2nd.
The President of the Club, which was founded in1986, and the Organizing Committee of this event, Mirko Penić, said that in agreement with the National Gallup Association, two events were arranged in Sinj – one in June and another in September, organized in honor of the late Mayor Ivica Glavan.
“Three races are scheduled tomorrow. The first starts at 17:00 and it is 900 meters long, where Ergela horses will race in the Alkar Cup. Afterward, on the same part of the track, we will host a race of purebred horses of all breeds and breeding types that are 3 years and older. The main race, or the City of Sinj Cup, is scheduled at 19.00 and runs at 1.100 meters,” Penić said, pointing out that competitors from Croatia, Germany, and Ireland should arouse a good response from the spectators.
The organizers of the show are the Sinj Tourist Board, Kamičak d.o.o, media sponsors are Hit radio and portal Ferata, and the main sponsor of the event is the City of Sinj.
