Sinj’s 7th Rural Products Fair Begins Today!

Daniela Rogulj

“Sinjski sajam sela”, known otherwise as a rural products fair, begins today for its 7th edition. The fair will last through August 6 and will be held at Trg dr. Franje Tuđman in Sinj.

The “Sinjski sajam sela” this year gives patrons the opportunity for insight into the unique and rich heritage of Sinj, seen through the spirit of the ancestors that lived it. This extraordinary wealth of tradition enriches our present and paves the way for the future. The fair will display many indigenous products and crafts from Croatian villages through a series of priceless treasures that can only contribute to the country’s cultural heritage.

There are expected to be between 30 and 40 exhibitors at the fair this year, coming from all over Croatia to present their local products.

The fair will take place over 3 days, and in addition to the exhibition there will also be a live entertainment program by:

  • Sinj Majorettes

  • Association to preserve the heritage of the Cetina region

  • Music group Ljuta kuća

  • Brass band from Nedelišće

  • Association of craftspeople from Sinj that will present national costumes, fashion, hairstyles, makeup, and flower arrangements

Over the three days, the fair will provide all visitors with the opportunity to taste the specialties of Sinj such as the famous fry breads and cheese from Cetina at a symbolic price, with all proceeds donated for the reconstruction of the water tower in Vukovar.

Admission to the fair is free. This event is organized by the Tourist Board of Sinj.
