A wonderful new offer for the city of Sinj.
The Tourist Board of Sinj, with the support of the Croatian Tourist Board, has completed installing the new ‘Musical Fence’!
Namely, over the last few years, the Sinj Tourist Board has received non-refundable funds to co-finance various programs through the public calls of the Croatian Tourist Board to improve the tourist infrastructure and attractiveness of the destination. This year, the Sinj Tourist Board used the funds for projects including the Music Fence – Scientific Park and Braille Signalization.
The musical fence was conceived as a concept and structure where the exhibition provides users with the experience of playing a particular melody. The unique educational and creative exhibit are designed to provide a challenge, pleasure, fun and learning for all users, and, above all, to the youngest, thus stimulating creativity and self-development. With an impressive, interactive presentation of science and research exhibits, scientific knowledge is quickly adopted and becomes part of the user’s general education.
The musical fence exhibit plays Croatia’s national anthem and contains 35 vertical melodic tubes, making it a real melodic instrument. The purpose of this project is to educate the youngest from an early age and stimulate the sensory perception of older generations, as well as those with special needs while promoting Croatia’s national identity and Sinj as a destination.
Last year, the Sinj Tourist Board also started a project to produce Braille lettering adapted to blind and partially-sighted people. The Tourist Board’s goal is to bring the tourist offer of Sinj closer to all people with disabilities and provide them with necessary information directly, without the help of third parties. This is just one of a number of the Tourist Board’s projects tailored to people with disabilities who deserve to have a more relaxed visit to the city.
This year, Braille lettering has been placed in front of Gallery Galiotović.
