The Sinj Tourist Board is organizing the 9th ‘Sinj Village Fair’ for the presentation, tasting and sale of traditional Croatian products: food, drinks, and souvenirs. The Sinj Village Fair is organized at the time of the Alka celebrations on August 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2018. The fair will take place in August when Sinj becomes the center of cultural, religious and tourist events in Split-Dalmatia County and beyond.
By organizing the event, the Sinj Tourist Board allows interested citizens and visitors in Sinj to taste and purchase local traditional products which are usually hard to find for consumers as most of them are not available for sale. At the same time, small and medium-sized agricultural businesses from the rural area of the town of Sinj and its surroundings, as well as other parts of Croatia, will promote and sell their products.
Last year’s experience saw exceptional attendance, and this year expects even more exhibitors. Therefore, as an organizer, the Sinj Tourist Board has an obligation to provide more space and more exhibitor tables, as exhibitors are expected to participate from all over Croatia and the neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which at least 40% of local producers will be present.
The Fair is imperative for the promotion of the vibrant tourist and cultural heritage of Sinj, as well as its rich offer of agricultural producers and souvenir producers, all aiming to develop the culture and economy of the city.
All visitors will have the opportunity to celebrate these already festive days in Sinj (Alka Celebration and The Assumption) with quality products from Croatian villages and give their personal contribution to the Sinj economy and the promotion of tourism.
Applications for exhibitors can be submitted via e-mail to [email protected], phone 021 / 826-352, or by visiting the Tourist Board of the City of Sinj Office at Put Petrovac 12, 21230 in Sinj.
Applications must contain the name and surname of the exhibitor or the name of the association, craft, OPG and the like, the contact number and the number of days for which the exhibitor is applying.
Due to the limited number of exhibitors, applications will be received until August 1 at noon or until capacity is completed.
