The Sinj majorettes and the Municipal Brass Band of Baška Voda returned from their tour in the south of France, in the town of Bagneres de Luchon, for the 117th Festival of Flowers.
The festival was attended by 25 groups from all over Europe, with one of the most attractive part of the festival being the various thematic circuits made of flowers – a spectacle to see.
The Sinj majorettes together with Baška Voda had three appearances. The first on July 26th was an evening performance on the streets of Luchon where the majorettes and musicians in the brass band Baška Voda were presented at five different locations, showing two choreographies. They also had the honor of closing the first night of the festival, followed by a magnificent fireworks display that followed the play of light.
On Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th, they paraded through the streets of the city Luchon. Saturday hosted a parade presentation of foreign groups performing in front of the Mayor of Luchon and the Minister of Tourism, where they mutually exchanged gifts. Sunday held the final parade with all the participants including the wonderful display of thematic circuits made of flowers.

Luchon is an otherwise popular tourist destination in France, famous for its ski slopes and thermal springs. The Festival of Flowers is part of their tourist offering, with a long standing tradition of 117 years.
With the departure to France, the Sinj majorettes presented the town of Sinj and Croatia in the best light. The majorettes assembled visitors who watched their performances and shared tourist leaflets about the city of Sinj, prepared by the Tourist Board of Sinj.
On the way to their destination, the Sinj majorettes had a day trip to Verona and Gardaland, and on their way home a trip to Nice and Monte Carlo.
