Traditional Customs of Sinj and the Cetina Region Tonight!

Tonight, the Association for the Preservation of Heritage Cetina region, within the framework for the Days of Alka and the Assumption, will host a performance showcasing life in Sinj and the Cetina.”Traditional Customs of Sinj and the Cetina Region” will display the rich customs of this region, and will begin this evening at 20h at Šetalištu Alojzija Stepinca.

The location where the program will be held was once a central market, and the program will be enriched with “Šušur”, containing 60 odd members from the association as well as their guests from Ogorje and the islands.

 

In addition, the performers will enact the old ways of courting, wedding customs, and traditional tool making. The entirety of the program will last about an hour and a half.

 

The project leaders in the Association for the Preservation of Heritage Cetina region for “Traditional Customs of Sinj and Cetina region’” are Ante Mastelić and Stipe Jelinčić.
